Additionally, provided instruction in radio communications and city geography, ensuring new officers were tactically sound and proficient in weapon retention and use of temporary restraints.. Furthermore, he served as police union representative, involving on-going direct contact with superiors and city and county officials in contract negotiations, and representing fellow officers in official misconduct and/or critical incidents. John has testified regularly in court in narcotics and other cases, interacting with attorneys, judges, and jurors. Received numerous letters of commendations from superiors and citizens and selected by superiors as Officer of the Quarter.
